Jupiter JTS-789 Tenor Saxophone $1500 I bought this saxophone brand new 6 years ago when I had been playing for a year as my first saxophone. It is a perfect beginner/intermediate level sax. It comes with the original soft foam neck strap and original mouthpiece and ligature with gold cap. Two cases are included; the black one being the original and the silver one is an eBay cheapie I bought. Both cases are pretty rough on the outside, but do their job of protecting the instrument. The saxophone itself has always been very well looked after and cleaned after each use, but as it is 6 years old, it has the scratches in the lacquer to show it. The 'inside' of the instrument (the part that can touch the chair whilst playing) has a lot of very shallow scratches all over, just from use, not misuse. Around the neckstrap ring are the same shallow scratches where my metal-clipped neckstrap has rubbed. On one of the tube parts that runs the length of the sax the lacquer has rubbed off on one side, as pictured. I have photographed the worst of the scratches. The cork on the neck was tearing a little bit but my sax teacher cut it back a little, saying it wasn't worth replacing as it was only a minor cosmetic flaw. It has been serviced regularly and recently by a very good saxophone technition, and he has always been pleased at how well it has been treated, as most saxophones he services of this age are generally dinged up. There are no dents at all. All pads and corks are in good condition. |

Jupiter Straight Soprano Saxophone $1600 I bought this saxophone about 3 years ago brand new. It has always been very well looked after, and there's not a scratch on it. The only imperfection is on the thumb hook, where the lacquer is worn off from use (pictured). The hook is replaceable. The sax comes with a very nice hard case, two necks, the original mouthpiece and a reed. A lot of sopranos are straight right through with an attatched straight neck... this one has two removable necks, one straight and one slightly curved. When the curved neck is attatched it's easier to play as you can hold it down at a better angle (more like a clarinet). STAND INC. |

1920's Evette and Schaeffer Curved Soprano Saxophone $800 I estimate this horn to have been made in the 1920's (serial number 266**) as indicated on the 'Vintage Saxaphone Gallery' website: http://www.saxpics.com/?v=ser&manID=2 This horn was made in Paris by the renowned
woodwind manufacturer 'Evette & Schaeffer - Buffet Crampon & Co'
which is stamped on the bell, along with the words 'Made in France'. This instrument is a beautiful piece of saxophone history, and turns heads wherever you go. |
